OUR HISTORY

In 1958, a young man in his early twenties arrived in New Delhi from his humble beginnings in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, India, with a plethora of hopes and aspirations. His goal was to secure a livelihood and create a fulfilling life. So, he found employment at a chemical factory near the Clock Tower in Shakti Nagar, New Delhi. Displaying unwavering dedication, he worked diligently for four years, gaining valuable insights into the business operations and mastering the intricacies of maintaining financial records. In 1962, following his marriage, he approached his employer, requesting a raise from his modest monthly salary of Rs. 150.00 but his request was declined. Driven by determination, he embarked on an entrepreneurial journey, establishing his own company. This marked the humble start of PARAMOUNT in the year 1964.

He opened a small office in the same vicinity and began supplying rare chemicals and glassware to colleges and universities in the nearby areas. Soon, the business expanded, and he commenced supplying to educational institutions in other parts of India as well. As trust was established, colleges started requesting scientific instruments from Paramount, which were subsequently added to their offerings. By the end of the 1980s, the Next Generation joined the business, and plans for expansion were reflected upon. In 1992, the Textile Testing Arena was added to their portfolio, supplying Textile Testing Instruments to India's Garment Export Industry. Participating in various exhibitions across the country, the brand PARAMOUNT gained recognition. This lead to the next big leap of introducing several Testing Instruments for the first time in India, including the Round Cutter for GSM and Colour Matching Booths, previously imported from Europe or America. Paramount's line of instruments continued to grow and swiftly evolved into a comprehensive destination for Quality Control Instruments catering to Garment Exporters, Buying Houses, Textile Mills, Educational Institutes, Fashion Institutes, and more.

Today, Paramount stands as a distinguished ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 Certified Group dedicated to providing Quality Control Solutions across diverse industries. Our portfolio comprises of over 55,800 global installations of Cutting-Edge testing instruments and the establishment of more than 5400 In-house Q.C. Labs. Our global reach extends to exports spanning across 81 countries.
